09/22/08 - GOTV Conference Call, "Voter Registration Drives: Do's and Don'ts" on Sep. 24!

Asalaamualaikum,

We hope this email finds you in the best of iman and health especially during these last ten days of the blessed month. With national elections only 45 days away, MSA National's Political Action Task Force(PATF) would like to remind all unregistered members to register to vote! PATF is a resource to help you and your MSA connect with the greater political community. In what is being called the most important election in recent political history, MSAs from all around America are holding voter registration drives within their campus communities as part of the MSA National Get Out the Vote (GOTV) campaign. We are holding a conference call this Wednesday titled Voter Registration Drives: Do's and Don'ts. Please join the call tomorrow to learn more about this important initiative.

As Muslims we are responsible for improving our communities. We can start by fully participating in the democratic process of our country. MSA's around the nation have a great potential to affect change in this political season. By joining MSA National's Get Out the Vote Campaign, we can pool our resources and strengths together and ensure our voice is heard. In addition to Wednesday's call, we invite your MSA to join MSA National's Get Out the Vote Campaign. Email Sr. Asma Rehman at to sign up.

Jazakallahukhairan,

Asma Rehman
Political Action Task Force Chair
