Nomination Process:
1) Any US or Canadian MSA executive committee can nominate a potential candidate, according to relevant US/Canadian positions, except the positions of President and Treasurer, for which all Canadian and US chapters may nominate.
2) The person being nominated must be from an MSA chapter that has an active affiliation with MSA National at the start of the nomination process, or is willing to renew its affiliation if the affiliation has expired since the last MSA National elections held in 2008. In this case the MSA will be given an opportunity to affiliate as a condition of nomination of the candidate based on the fact that that same chapter was affiliated at the time of the last MSA National Executive Committee elections held in May 2008.
3) In order to preserve the integrity of the election process, a) chapters whose former affiliations with MSA National cannot be verified via electronic/paper records and b) newly formed chapters (formed since May2008 and not affiliated with MSA National), will be eligible to affiliate, but the privileges and responsibilities of affiliation will NOT go into effect until after the elections process is complete.
