09/12/07 - Ramadan Mubarak!

Assalamu Aalykum My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On behalf of the MSA National Executive Committee and Task Forces, Ramadan Mubarak! I pray we all benefit from this month and capitalize on the opportunity before us.

This Ramadan students across the US and Canada will hold Iftar, Sahur, Taraweeh, interfaith dinners, Fast-A-Thons and many other activities. To continue the spirit of education and dialogue, many campuses will hold a Peace Not Prejudice campaign this October.

In this blessed month filled with charity, we humbly ask you to support our Muslim Students across the US and Canada.

Allaah the Most High said, "Those who spend their wealth by night and day,
in secret and in public, shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear nor
shall they grieve." [Surahtul-Baqarah (2):274]

Again, Ramadan Mubarak!

Why donate to MSA National?

MSA National is a non-profit organization which serves Muslim students during their college and university careers by facilitating their efforts to establish Islam in their daily lives, as well as to maintain and develop local chapters of the Muslim Students Association. We call upon you to support today's youth and tomorrow's leaders.

You have supported Muslim students in the past, and today, MSA National is calling upon you to support the newly launched MSA Legacy Fund. We owe it to present and future generations of Muslim youth to preserve the rich legacy of MSA National as the most inclusive, continuously operating Muslim organization in the United States and Canada. Your contributions, sacrifices and support of student Islamic work have been immeasurable and will, insha'Allah (Allah-willing), be rewarded by Allah. We extend our deepest gratitude to you for your support.

Annual Programs, Services and Resources

Muslim students in college and university face tremendous challenges as they strive to balance their responsibilities to Allah (God), to their academic obligations, to their families and to the community at large. MSA National therefore places an emphasis on a dual-focus on the well-being of the individual Muslim student as well as the local MSA chapter through sponsorship of educational programs, by offering students opportunities to learn, network and grow at regional, zonal and annual conferences, as well as through management training programs.

  • Annual conferences - with 250-3,000+ attendees at the regional, zonal and continental level
  • COMPASS - a state of the art management training program
  • Year-round da'wah programs such as Islam Awareness Day/Week /Month
  • Peace Not Prejudice campaign to promote interfaith and educational activities on campus
  • Fast-A-Thon - with participates from more than 200 schools that raise over $30,000 annually for domestic charity organizations.
  • Project Downtown to feed the homeless in over 40 cities
  • Manuals and guides for conference planning, Muslim accommodations, and voter education among others

What is The MSA Legacy Fund?

MSA National has launched The MSA Legacy Fund (MLF) to offer our supporters an opportunity to contribute towards the development of innovative educational programs, activities, services and resources for Muslim students in the U.S. & Canada. The MLF has two main objectives:

  1. To fund existing programs and activities of MSA National and
  2. To fund the endowment of MSA National.

The Executive Committee of MSA National has set a modest goal to raise $1,000,000 over the next ten years. Your annual financial contribution of $120, $600 or $1,200 assures your membership in the MLF. Please make a commitment today to support MSA National and become a member of The MSA Legacy Fund. Membership in the MLF is open to current students, alumni, parents, members of the business community and other supporters.
