The Election Committee would like to announce the 2007-2008 Executive Committee. We congratulate each of you on this accomplishment.

The 2007-2008 Executive Committee consists of:

  • President: Sister Asma Mirza (Georgetown University)
  • Treasurer: Sister Runda Kuziez (St. Louis University)
  • Vice President Canada: Sister Zeina Sleiman (University of Ottawa)
  • Vice President USA: Sister Hajar Abdul-Rahim (University of Florida-Gainesville)
  • East Zone USA Representative: Sister Sumrah Haider (University of Alabama at Birmingham)
  • Central Zone USA Representative: Sister Nura Sediqe (University of Michigan-Ann Arbor)

We pray that Allah grants our new leaders the best of intentions, keeps them steadfast in serving this noble Cause and blesses and accepts their efforts in leading MSA National.

We encourage chapters to suggest individuals to fill these integral positions.

We thank everyone for participating in this year's elections. The Election Committee plans to submit feedback and suggestions for improving election policies and procedures, and encourages chapters to do the same. Questions related to elections may be directed to electchair@msanational.org.

We ask forgiveness for any mistakes made along the way and ask Allah to accept our efforts. We pray that the upcoming year is the most successful for the organization, Insha'Allah.
